We're here to give a primer and very high-level overview on the current state of Golem, the yagna reference implementation, and more. While the Golem Promo video might look cool, it doesn't begin to describe the broad aspect of what our platform has to offer and what makes us so excited to be building this project and engaging with the community to create an ecosystem of developers, requestors and providers. So here's what we like to call the Golem one-pager.

What Golem does

Golem democratizes society’s access to computing power by creating a decentralized platform where anyone can build a variety of applications, request computational resources and/or offer their idle systems in exchange for cryptocurrency tokens (GLM).

It's important to note that Golem's potential goes much beyond a singular application. In Golem there is not a single monolithic use-case or a killer dApp - we are building a self sustainable ecosystem. Instead of thinking of one big requestor, think “strength in numbers” - a myriad of different types of users requesting digital resources, providing them and building applications on top of the platform.
