Another month of the Golem GLM Rewards Program is upon us and we’re excited to dive into it! We’ve had more activity on the Golem community BY FAR this month than any other month since the rewards program began so it was the most challenging month for us to follow all the activity and select winners of each category.
We want to promote as many ways as we can to get involved in the Golem project, even for non-developers. For example, in the rewards program for February we ran a bonus meme category. Even some of the more tech-y categories of the GLM Rewards Program don't necessarily require any developer experience if you follow the project closely.
GLM Rewards Program Spotlight- Decentralized Machine Learning on Golem (DeML)
While we plan to have lots of hackathons to get people started on building on Golem, we naturally also would love to see the projects continue to grow and live a life of their own in the ecosystem. We’re directly working with Golem Slate and ChessOnGolem to help them meet their needs. We’re also supporting Decentralized Machine Learning on Golem, another previous hackathon project, for the work to be continued.
At the beginning of the month, long time community member, Anshuman announced wanting to continue the project and what to expect. Over the weekend he created a new post on the ideas he has to progress the project, and calling for feedback (or just questions for people looking to learn).
We’d like to encourage anyone interested in getting some more information on Machine Learning on Golem to comment on the thread or ping anshuman73 in Discord.
GLM Rewards Program - March awardees
The individuals we’ll be awarding the GLM Rewards Program slots for March’s round are:
Feedback Masters (1000 GLM each): Phazed#8040 (Discord+Reddit) and stelballe#2785 (Discord+Reddit)
Tech Supporters (5000 GLM each): r4x#2916 (Discord+Reddit) and anshuman73#3182 (Discord+Reddit)
Content Creator of the Month (2500 GLM): bose25#4968 (Discord+Reddit)
Please shoot an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll follow up with instructions. Or find Mattias in the community Discord (https://chat.golem.network) and he will be happy to help you directly.
The GLM Rewards Program is technically opt-out, where you’re already participating as soon as you do anything in the Golem community (or you can see it as opt-in by the first community interaction you have). It’s that simple and there’s no need to apply. So come join us! Note that, because the GLM Rewards Program requires KYC then of course you can opt-out if it’s not for you, we just want to token(ize) our appreciation and offer it in a tokenized way.
Get started by being active where the Golem community is discussing and interacting. The Golem team is often active in the Discord, /r/GolemProject and /r/GolemTrader on Reddit, Telegram and announcements channel. Or create some cool Golem integration on Github and share it with us via email. There’s so much potential for anyone to get involved.
Naturally everyone can’t be in the awardees each month but here’s some cool content that we’d like to show off. This Golem related artwork (by KenshinHimura#2088):
And a fun suggestion (by the.godfather#9993) to turn the pokemon Golem into a reaction emoji that everyone can now use:
